The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Engagement Advisor to join a high-performing regional infrastructure team.

Working alongside project managers and technical specialists, you will provide expert communications, stakeholder engagement and issues management advice to support the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects. Acting as the key link between project teams, government, landholders, communities and stakeholders, you will help build positive relationships, manage expectations and ensure clear, timely and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines strategic planning with hands-on stakeholder engagement, offering the opportunity to contribute to projects that deliver lasting benefits for Queensland communities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience developing and delivering communication and stakeholder engagement strategies for infrastructure, government or major projects
  • Strong ability to build productive relationships with landholders, community groups, government agencies and other stakeholders
  • Experience managing sensitive issues and providing strategic advice to support project outcomes
  • Well-developed written communication skills with experience preparing ministerial, executive or customer correspondence
  • Knowledge of media, government and regional operating environments, with the ability to contribute to reputation management and media responses
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear, practical and customer-focused manner
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • A collaborative approach, with the confidence to work closely with project teams as a trusted communications advisor
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to embrace change, identify opportunities for improvement and deliver innovative engagement solutions
